Panama Don Julian Pacamara Natural
New crop arrived via airfreight end July 2025, a Direct Trade coffee and an excellent example of its varietal and process. Available quantity is always limited. Despite the small amount produced, the coffee is a very delicious example of Pacamara showing flavors of dried dates, savory notes that evoke umami. Viscous body with a wine like and melony finish. Fruit intensity is significant. Complex with a long and memorable finish.

Costa Rica Brumas del Zurqui SL-28
Arrived by air mid-July, direct trade, in vacuum sealed boxes. This SL-28 from Costa Rica producer Juan Ramon Alvarado on his Montano farm in Tarrazu. This noted Bourbon variant, best known in top Kenya coffees, has done very well in several Central American locales. It is successfully grown in El Salvador and now this very nice example from Costa Rica. The coffee is super clean and juicy with lots of stone fruit, peach and nectarine. It also has notes of sugar cane, caramel, pink grapefruit, characteristic of the variety. Body is very silky

Panama Don Julian Washed Geisha
Arrived by air in vacuum boxes at the end of July 2025, new crop. This season we bought both Washed and Natural Geisha lots from Don Julian. This one is washed processed. Washed Geishas are often the more pure expression of the variety as their flavors have not been altered by fruit drying on their seeds. Lots of floral notes including jasmine, hyacinth and plumeria. Also present are lemon and lemongrass and a decided amount of bergamot. This is a good value for a nice Washed Geisha from Panama.

Panama Elida El Burro Geisha Natural ASD
Just arrived mid July, new crop, vacuum boxed and shipped to us via airfreight. This is from one of the top Geisha coffee producers in the world. Needless to say, quantity is limited. Note: we will also have another lot from Elida in the near future, albeit a bit more expensive. Very floral with signature jasmine and plumeria as well as lots of tropical fruit notes including pineapple, papaya, mango and guava. Smooth mouthfeel of milk chocolate on the finish. Another excellent Geisha Natural from the Lamastus Family.

Costa Rica Etiope 47 Natural
Direct trade arrived by airfreight July 2025. This is a very unusual and elegantly powerful coffee. The variety was initially developed in Ethiopia some years ago in an effort to ward off leaf rust while having a flavorful profile. The seeds made there way to producer Juan Ramon Alvarado in Costa Rica where he planted them on his 1950 meter Finca Don Jose in Tarrazu. This coffee has really delivered on its promise. Flavors of lemon and lime citrus, honeydew, tamarind, black cherry and kiwi. A potpourri of exotic flavors.

Panama Altieri Geisha Natural 'Luci"
Hand carried from the farm after our visit at the beginning of June 2025. Delicious high toned Geisha with sweet peach and mango flavors. Broad range of obvious tropical fruit flavors including pineapple, kiwi, apricot. This is a superb example of Geisha Natural with abundant fruit and florals, crafted by a masterful hand. The processing method is an enhanced Natural they call DFM, Dry Fermentation Mosto, where the coffee fruit is fermented in coffee must and later is spread out to dry very slowly in a refrigerated environment. This concentrates the flavors. This is a wonderful coffee.

Ethiopia Guji Grade 1
Arrived June 2025, new crop and in grainpro. We are offering it now (late July) for the first time. Aromas of almond and milk chocolate.Flavors: Lemon, lemon-lime, and white grapes. Very clean. Characteristic spice, bright notes, hints of black tea.

Ethiopia Hamasho Natural Grade 1
Arrived late June 2025, new crop in Grain-Pro bags. This coffee is fantastic and was a fan favorite the past three seasons. Hamasho is one of the nicer Naturals from Ethiopia that we have seen. Aromas of blueberry and cocoa. Flavors of berries and lemon. Very clean natural processed coffee. Moderate to significant fruit intensity. This coffee has been consistently a top Ethiopia Natural. Grade 1 and this year was no exception.

Colombia Granja La Esperanza Sudan Rume Natural
Arrived June 2025 by air, a Direct Trade new crop coffee from one of the most notable producers in Colombia. Sudan Rume is a scarce and infrequently seen variety that represents one of the purest representations of Arabic coffee. The variety's origins are traced to southern Sudan, near the border with Ethiopia. This Sudan Rume Natural was produced and nurtured at Granja La Esperanza in Valle del Cauca, Colombia. This is a unique and simply delicious coffee, different but very comfortably so. This farm is the source where many barista champions go for coffees they will use in competition.

Panama Janson Geisha Natural Lot 552
A delicious Classic Natural Geisha from the 2024 season that has been in our warehouse since last Fall, in its original packaging and still cupping like new. Very floral with lemony accents. This is a lighter more delicate style geisha showing very little processing notes so it is very clean. It is very sweet and cups like a honey process. Very limited quantity. We are awaiting the arrival of new crop coffee from Janson and making room with discounted coffee.

Brazil Fazenda Baixadao Natural
Arrived mid May, 2025, first new crop of the season from Brazil, in grainpro liners. Well recognized farm in Minas Gerais and multi award recipient, producting solid mix of Yellow Bourbon and Yellow Catuai.

Burundi Masha Washing Station
Arrive May 2025, in grainpro, new crop. Flavors of red apple, Meyer lemon, butterscotch, baker's chocolate and a touch of spice. Tannic and smooth on the palate, and acetic like rice wine vinegar. Guatemala Antigua Santo Domingo SHB
Arrived June 2025, in grainpro. Santo Domingo is a genuine Guatemala Antigua coffee grown by a collective a 15 to 20 small area farms, combined and centrally processed by the traditional fully washed method and sun dried as conditions permit. The coffee trees are shade grown Bourbon and Caturra varietals. An excellent value for a top SHB coffee which can be used unblended or as a blend base. We have offered this coffee for several seasons and find it reliable and consistent.

Ethiopia Yirgacheffe Natural Swiss Water Decaf
Arrived June 2025, part of the Swiss Water Small Batch program. Now decaf drinkers have an opportunity to have some select coffees that were not previously selected for decaffeination. This Ethiopia Natural has fruit and berries that still shine through Swiss Water's 100% chemically free decaffeination process. This is high grown Chelbesa Grade 1 Natural process coffee.

Sumatra Mandheling Fair Trade Organic
Latest arrival in June 2025, just having arrived in the US. Sumatra Mandheling is known for its very heavy, almost syrupy body and its low acidity. This combination makes for a smooth, velvety, yet pronounced cup of coffee. Powerful aroma. Direct and sturdy with nutty flavor. Our current lot is from the Koperasi Pertanian Gayo Lauser Antara Cooperative (KPGLA) and is both Fair Trade & Organic certified.

Costa Rica La Minita Tarrazu
Latest arrival, June 2025 in grainpro. The coffee is very nice this season. A perennial favorite with a big following, La Minita is remarkably consistent from one crop year to the next.

Kenya AB Rita
Arrived April in GrainPro, first new crop from Kenya this season. Rita is solid, value priced Kenya with flavors of black tea, sweet and sugary. Bright and juicy.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Trouble Hill Farm
Latest arrival mid-June 2025. Trouble Hill Farm, owned and farmed by the same family for three generations, is located in Claverty Cottage, Portland Gap, at 4500 feet above sea level. Aromas cedar and roasted almond. A big bodied, very clean Jamaica Blue Mountain displaying some hickory notes and layered flavors. Signature, naturally smoky flavors with some chocolate and honey.

Colombia Supremo
Latest arrival mid May 2025. Clean and bright with intense aroma. Snappy acidity and generous sweetness; a nice preparation. Supremo beans are the largest grade, screen 17 and above. These are really all purpose coffees, checking the boxes for single origin, blend component, and, light or dark roasts.

Burundi Mahonda Washing Station
Arrived second half February 2025, first new crop arrival from Burund this season, in Ecotact bags. The Mahonda Washing Station is a multiple Cup of Excellence award finalist, located in the Gitega region of Burundi. Very sweet honeysuckle flavors along with white peach.

Peru Fair Trade Organic
Arrived May 2025 from the current crop. This is certified Fair Trade and Organic coffee from the Cenacor Cooperative, made up of Cafe De Mujer Aproccurma (Coffee Women of Aproccurma). The member coffee producers are located in more than 70 communities across Northern Peru. These producers follow organic farm management practice attuned to their cultural connection with the land. Clean cupping, sweet and bright coffee well suited to roasts from light to dark. It can be a blend component to brighten up other coffees, or as a single origin. Versatile and fairly priced given current market conditions and quality of the coffee.

Guatemala El Socorro Yellow Bourbon
Arrived October 2024, new crop, in Grainpro. Sweet Yellow Bourbon varietal from multi award winning farm and producer located in Palencio Guatemala. Very sweet, clean cup really impressed us. El Socorro won 1st Place in the 2023 Guatemala Cup of Excellence and 1st Place in the 2020 (both times for a Geisha varietal) yet all of their production targets top quality.

Kenya AA Gatomboya
Arrived as new crop October 2024 in grainpro bags. Our top pick for the season from Kenya, this from the Gatomboya Washing Station owned by members of Barichu Farmers Co-op Society. The coffee presents with classic Kenya blackcurrant flavors and a big, full and viscous body, followed by a long finish. A direct import.

Bolivia Fair Trade & Organic
Latest arrival early April 2025. AAA grade, we are happy to have secured this as Bolivian coffees are becoming increasingly hard to procure. Heavy aroma, low acidity, milk chocolate sweetness.

Costa Rica Santa Maria Dota Tarrazu
New crop arrived early July 2024 in grainpro. From the notable Coopedota cooperative in rugged, high elevation Tarrazu, this all purpose coffee is from area farms. This is a very impressive lot for the price with a combination of nuttiness and sweet baking flavors. Very clean with a silky finish. Solid solo choice for all roast levels or to add clean brightness to blends.

Colombia Ivan Montoya microlot
Arrived January 2024, freshly arrived from Antioquia Colombia. This microlot is from another new producer for us, Ivan Montoya. Of note, is the Chiroso varietal and its deliciously tart, complex flavors.

Costa Rica Rodolfo Rivera Geisha Natural
Our first offering from this producer. The coffee arrived in grainpro liners in October and is from the latest crop. Reasonably priced single producer Geisha from Costa Rica. Preserved lemon, soy. Floral notes and fruit, notably dried apricot, other tropical fruits and malt. A group of 7 local producers share facilities for processing their own coffee, but each producer's lots are kept separate.
