Arrived March 2020 in canvas bags lined with grainpro. The top preparation of coffee from Yemen. This coffee is prepared by culling together only the ripest, red fruit and air drying the cherry in a specially constructed pyramid system. The result is sweet cupping, fruity and floral flavors with the "one off" character that comes just from here. Typically the cherries are heirloom, often unknown varietals and frequently there is no real selection process. But with this coffee and its preparation selection and processing is taken to an extreme with notable results.

Roughly 900 growers use the facility in Aricha, and the washing station has grown from having 50 raised beds for coffee drying to 150 beds.
We cup a lot of coffee during our normal, rigorous selection process and over the course of the year we see numerous lots of Yrgacheffe. This particular lot really popped out of the rest for its power, cleanliness and especially for an exotic flavor profile that really characterizes Yrgacheffe coffee at its best.
