New crop arrived end August 2020 in Grainpro. This multi award winning coffee is Maracaturra varietal, a cross between Caturra and the very large Maragogipe. It is from Palencia province of Guatemala high in the mountains not terribly far from Guatemala City. In the cup it has delicate tropical fruit background notes. Complex, layered and silky smooth finish. Finca El Socorro was the first place winner in this year's Cup of Excellence for a different varietal, but does a terrific job with all the varieties they grow.
Arrived end August 2020, new crop in grainpro. Red Bourbon varietal from multi award winning farm and producer located in Palencio Guatemala. Very sweet, clean cup really impressed us. El Socorro just won 1st Place in the 2020 Guatemala Cup of Excellence for a Geisha varietal but all of the production is top quality.

Arrived June 2020, new crop and in grainpro. This was one of our favorite coffees from a January tour of Ethiopia where many coffees were cupped. Most of the favored washed Guji coffees outranked Yirgacheffes quite noticeably. The Anasora washing station processes both washed and natural, with a keen eye toward detail, which shows in the cup.
New crop arrived June 2020 in grainpro. From the notable Coopedota cooperative in rugged, high elevation Tarrazu, this all purpose coffee is from area farms. This is a very impressive lot for the price with a combination of nuttiness and sweet baking flavors. Very clean with a silky finish. Solid solo choice for all roast levels or to add clean brightness to blends.

This lovely lot of coffee comes from the TEKA Washing Station in the Kirimiro region in Burundi. It is interesting to note that this specific lot of coffee is made up of cherry from producers with very new plantations. The washing station processes about 950 tons of coffee every year.
The highest rated coffee of all time and the most expensive at auction - $1029 per pound green before import. A sensation Green Tip Geisha from the masterful Lamastus family had an average score of 95.5 points from 20 international judges. Yes, it crazy expensive! But it is terrific and there is not much to go around. A rare offering.
Latest arrival February 2020. This is the second time we are offering coffee from Finca Cedral, in Dota, Tarrazu. The owner of the farm, Roger Urena Hidalgo, also owns the wetmill where the coffee was processed, Santa Teresa 2000. Flavors of fig jam and red apple. A buttery smooth body and lemon acidity. An extremely well balanced cup with acidity and body in ideal proportion. 2000 meter coffee produces concentrated flavors.
