The Sette 270W by Baratza is a revolutionary conical burr grinder with new technology to maximize efficiency, simplicity, and durability. This new design has an outer burr that rotates while the inner burr is fixed which doubles the efficiency of similarly sized burr grinders. Coffee vertically passes directly through the grinder and lands into the grounds bin or portafilter. Using weighing technology this grinder allows for precise and accurate weight based dosing, something never seen before in a home espresso grinder. Additionally, the grinder comes with Bluetooth capabilities designed to keep track of grind sessions, weights, and settings. This is an ideal grinder for the home espresso enthusiast or for small scale cafe use.

The combination of a planetary gear box and a patented crown gear drive system achieves a 19:1 speed reduction. In simple terms, it's really fast. The 40 mm conical burrs grind coffee at 3.5 g to 5.5 g/second providing a uniform grind. The conical burrs are extremely durable and the mechanics behind the design provide precision burr alignment and accuracy every time.

The control panel has a backlit LED display which is very user friendly. There are three programmable buttons that allow for grind time setting within 0.1 second. The user simply presses the start button and the Sette automatically delivers accurate dosing.

This grinder was designed using the weighing technology of Acaia, giving precise and accurate weight based dosing, with the revolutionary ability to grind by weight directly into a portafilter, a first for the home espresso enthusiast! In addition, the 270W comes with Bluetooth capabilities designed to monitor, log and track grind sessions, weights and settings. A tool specifically made for the Sette for use by home enthusiasts, coffee shop and the barista.

ACAIA scale — Speed & Precision

Setting a new standard for coffee grinders, with a built-in scale with ultra-fast 20ms response time and a 10th of a gram sensitivity.

There are 30 macro settings on the grinder ranging from espresso to manual brew and includes a stepless micro adjust with 9 indicators, allowing the user to dial in the perfect espresso grind. The macro and micro mechanism is directly connected to the cone burr, providing an immediate and precise grind adjustment.

The grinder gives you the option to either grind directly into a portafilter, the included grounds bin, or a brewing device of your choice (i.e. manual drip cone, Aeropress, etc), something rarely seen in home grinding technology. The grounds bin is m ade from anti-static plastic with a moulded spout for seemless pouring into your preferred brewing device. The portaholder is adjustable to fit any size portafiler and includes an integrated hook for stability.

The Sette's hopper has a capacity of 300 to 400 grams of coffee and includes a shutoff feature in the collar for a clean and simple hopper removal and has minimal retention of coffee grounds remaining in the grinder. The motor is a powerful, high torque DC equipped with automatically resetting, thermal cutoff switch.
