Indonesian coffee is characterized by heavier body, some rather extreme. While both unwashed (natural prep) and washed coffees come from Indonesia, it is the unwashed that are the signature style of Sumatra and Timor. Java is generally washed, thus brighter in the cup. Asia does not produce much quality Arabica coffee, but those that are available are washed.
