Brazil Fazenda Da Lagoa

Fazenda Da Lagoa dates back to the late 18th century. Today, this large quality coffee farm spans 7000 acres, about 3700 acres of which is used for planting coffee, the balance comprising a natural reserve that is a haven for myriad flora and fauna, as well as woodlands and pastures. The property is irrigated by 40 natural streams that cover the land and converge to form two rivers. Sustainability is a focus of the farm's ownership.

The coffee is natural, unwashed arabica of the varietals Catuai, Mundo Novo, Acaya and Catucai. Drying and hulling take place at the farm's own mill. Final preparation and bagging is carried out at the sister farm. The result is "NY grade 2/3, strictly soft fine cup", the top import grade; bean size is large 17/18 screen. Coffees from this farm are certified by Utz Kapeh and thus offer full traceability for farm practices.

Excellent standalone Brazil or base for espresso blend.

Cup Characteristics:Viscous, mouth coating body. Pleasant tangy bite. Well defined acidity.
